Donna Nayler

Donna Nayler is an author and a hair stylist with a background in crime scene cleaning. With years of experience working within death services. She witnessed firsthand the aftermath of crime, loss and human tragedy, experiences that profoundly shaped her writing.

Her debut book, Bloodstains and Ballgowns, is a gripping memoir that offers an unfiltered look at the life behind the blue and white chequered tape, working in environments most people never see.

Much of the book was written while travelling between scenes, capturing raw moments in real time from a world rarely spoken about.

Born in the United Kingdom and raised in Australia with her twin sister, Donna grew up with a strong sense of family shaped by her Mother and Father. She now lives on the Gold Coast with her Chihuahua.
